Content Body

Gulfstream Aerospace has opened its new Technical Training Center (TTC) in Mesa, Arizona, where new workers will gain experience via on-the-job training. The move will help Gulfstream hire local workers and complements the OEM’s new MRO facility at Mesa Gateway Airport (KIWA), which opened in January.

The Mesa TTC is Gulfstream’s second such facility; the first is located at the company headquarters in Savannah, Georgia, and opened in 2015.

With more than 10,000 sq ft of classroom and lab space, the TTC will be equipped with a G650 fuselage segment, a G600 simulator, and an entire G200 twinjet. Training will be available for new and existing technicians and will include sheet metal, avionics, mechanical maintenance, and safety.

Gulfstream has also partnered with Chandler-Gilbert Community College to hire graduates of its A&P technician program, and the program helps them prepare for jobs at Gulfstream with training at the TTC.

“Investing in workforce development and training ensures that with every interaction, our customers receive the industry-leading support Gulfstream is known for,” said Lor Izzard, senior v-p, Gulfstream customer support. “The addition of our newest Technical Training Center in Mesa provides even more opportunities for employees to enhance their skills to deliver the highest quality experience and service for our customers.”
