NATA/AAAE Symposium Hailed As A Success

Many convention attendees are more than ready to hit the road by the last day of a busy schedule of events, but that didn’t impede the third joint symposium held by the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) and the National Air Transportation Association (NATA) at the close of Aviation Industry Week, March 10. Hosted by NATA for the first time this year, the Las Vegas event featured approximately 65 attendees– standing room only–as many who tried to sign up on site had to be turned away.

The agenda included: understanding the RFP process; SPCC planning; marketing the airport; leasing issues; and a GA security roundtable. Airport managers and FBO executives were able to swap points of view from opposite sides of the negotiating table. NATA president James Coyne said, “It is a valuable forum for the aviation business community and airport managers to come together and gain better understanding of how each of their respective parts of the aviation industry works in some of these hot-topic areas.”
