Just over a year before the renamed and relocated Asian Aerospace International Expo & Congress opens its doors for the first time at Hong Kong’s AsiaWorld-Expo complex, organizer Reed Exhibitions (Chalet A19) has revealed burgeoning support for its flagship industry event.

Boeing and both the British and German aerospace industry associations, the SBAC and BDLI, are on a list that also includes AAXICO, Aviall, Alcoa, Argosy, AMECO Beijing, Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance, Heico, Lufthansa Technik and the Romanian government. The organizers expect to add further names after meetings with other major exhibitors here this week.

Until this year, Asian Aerospace had been staged in Singapore. Clive Richardson, senior vice president of Reed’s Aerospace and Defence Group, said he was looking to continue the partnerships forged over the years with Boeing and other customers. “The potential of the Chinese market for more and newer commercial aircraft as well as aerospace related products and services is remarkable,” he added.
