Content Body

Safran is turning over its leadership team, appointing members to new posts at the headquarters level and new executives to run its major aerospace companies, including Snecma, Turbomeca, Aircelle and Sagem. The changes involve the shifting or additions of more than a dozen executives, along with the affirmation of numerous others. The management reorganization follows the April meeting of the board of directors in which Ross McInnes was affirmed as the new chairman and Philippe Petitcolin as CEO.

The newest appointments include the move of Olivier Andriès, most recently the chairman and CEO of Turbomeca, to head Snecma, which also has operational responsibility for the companies Hispano-Suiza and Techspace Aero. Andriès joined Safran in March 2008 from EADS. Replacing Andriès at the helm of Turbomeca is Bruno Even, who joined Turbomeca in 1999 but most recently was CEO of Sagem. Martin Sion, a 25-year company veteran who most recently headed Aircelle, takes over as CEO of Sagem. Succeeding him as CEO of Aircelle is Jean-Paul Alary, formerly the executive vice president of the Safran Electronics division at Sagem.

At the parent company, Stéphane Abrial takes the new role of senior executive vice president of international and public affairs. Also, Eric Dalbiès is executive vice president of strategy and M&A; Jean-Jacques Orsini, executive vice president of performance and competitiveness; and Bruno Pasini, deputy executive vice president of human resources. Pierre Fabre becomes senior executive vice president of R&T and innovation and Alex Fain corporate secretary.
