Aero-Photos will be the first Canadian company to undergo a Wyvern Category 1 Exact UAV safety, quality and risk-management assessment. Wyvern’s Exact program is a “robust, standardized, international best practices certification” scheme—based on ICAO Document 10019, “Manual on Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems”—for commercial UAV service buyers and sellers. Aero-Photos offers UAV operations, training and consulting services.
Exact helps UAV end-users make informed decisions about the quality and safety commitment of UAV operators and to gauge operators’ commitment to mitigating risk. Buyers can thus source Wyvern-accredited UAS operators for their specific requirements, as well as meeting industry best practices “with a focus on safety, quality and risk-management.”
