The National Air Transportation Association (NATA) held the second of a series of 2018 Industry Town Hall meetings at Austin (Texas) Executive Airport last week. Topics of discussion, led by Michael France, NATA managing director, safety and training, included: staffing challenges; attracting the next generation of aviation business leaders; and integrating drones into general aviation’s airspace.

France met with business aviation professionals from around the region’s airports, FBOs, MROs, flight training providers, and university aviation programs. Tim Obitts, NATA executive v-p and general counsel, said, “The conversations initiated during these meetings help NATA set the legislative and regulatory agenda, when advocating on behalf of our member companies and industry.”

Upcoming NATA Industry Town Halls are planned for: March 22 (Signature Flight Support, Denver, Colorado), April 19 (High Performance Aircraft, San Diego, California), May 10 (Thunderbird Aviation, Minneapolis, Minnesota), September 13 (Jet Aviation, Bedford, Massachusetts), September 25 (Epps Aviation, Atlanta, Georgia), and November 15 (Banyan Air Service, Fort Lauderdale, Florida).
