Solvay’s CEM Defense Materials (CDM) unit was among 12 businesses that received Lockheed Martin Aeronautics’ Elite Supplier Award for 100 percent on-time deliveries and zero quality defects in 2021. The dozen honorees represent the top 1 percent of suppliers that support the company, Solvay said.
To receive the recognition, the supplier must have executed deliveries for at least six months to one of Lockheed Martin Aeronautics' major programs and meet technical capability, cost, program support, problem resolution, and quality requirements.
“We have been collaborating closely with Lockheed Martin Aeronautics on many commercial and military projects demanding the highest levels of performance,” said Carmelo Lo Faro, president of Solvay’s materials segment.
Based in Tempe, Arizona, CDM provides a range of materials used for aerospace, land, and marine defense, including structural, ballistic, and multifunctional composites.
