Content Body

Raytheon Systems has sold two radars to HungaroControl, the Hungarian air navigation services provider, and four to the Sultanate of Oman. The first contract, worth $10.6 million, consists of an ASR-23SS L-band primary surveillance radar and a Condor European mode-S monopulse secondary surveillance radar. These systems will replace the older ones in Kõrishegy and Püspökladány. They are due to become operational in November 2006 and May 2007, respectively.

In Oman, the deal with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation and Meteorology is valued at approximately $11 million. The four monopulse secondary surveillance radars will be installed at Widam Sahil, Ras Al-Had, Al-Duqm and Qaran Hairati. Work is due to be completed by late 2005. Along with three MSSRs supplied previously, this will give Oman radar coverage of the whole count
