The Alliance for Sustainable Air Transportation (ASAT) was publicly launched in late June at a summit on global climate change in Miami. The Wakefield, Mass.-based group includes DayJet, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, the state of Florida and 11 other members. ASAT cofounder Traver Gruen-Kennedy, who is also DayJet’s vice president of strategic operations, said the organization’s “strategy is to support the implementation of NextGen regionally, locally and in stages, through prototypes that favor the greatest benefits in the shortest time.”
