China/Embraer Negotiations ‘Ongoing’

Embraer last month said it has received no indication that a Chinese government recommendation to its airlines to cancel or delay delivery of aircraft scheduled for delivery next year would further affect the Brazilian company’s production plans. The CAA also urged its carriers to ground and sell airplanes and allow leases to expire. Embraer executive vice president Mauro Kern said he doesn’t know whether these measures might affect future deliveries and that negotiations between the OEM and China are “ongoing.”
