Republic Airways signed a firm order last month for six Embraer E190s, all of which it plans to deploy with its Denver-based Frontier ­Airlines ­subsidiary between August and ­December of next year. The companies also concluded ­negotiations on a conditional order for another 18 E190s and/or E195s. Embraer expects the ­conditional order to become firm by April 15 next year. The ­contracts supersede a 24-aircraft ­letter of intent signed at July’s Farnborough Air Show and include options on another 24 E190/195s.
