Avidyne Obtains AML STC for TAS600

Avidyne’s TAS600 traffic advisory system has received an approved model list (AML) supplemental type certificate (STC) from the FAA, covering installation in more than 700 aircraft makes and models. Instead of referencing a single-aircraft STC and having to seek a field approval for each installation, said Avidyne COO Patrick Herguth, “Dealers can now reference this AML STC and significantly reduce the paperwork cost and time associated with each TAS600 installation.” The AML STC applies to the TAS600, TAS610, TAS615, TAS620 and Ryan 9900BX. Avidyne has delivered more than 10,000 traffic systems.
