Content Body

Embraer and LOT Polish Airlines have renewed and expanded their pool program to support the flag carrier’s fleet of Embraer E-Jets, the companies said at the Farnborough Airshow. LOT also plans to add seven more E-Jets in its fleet to the program, bringing a total of 44 aircraft and more than 300 components under the program’s coverage.

LOT Polish Airlines served as the launch customer of the E-Jet and the only airline to operate all four variants of the Embraer airliner. Its fleet includes 21 E170s and E175s, and 23 E190s and E195s.

LOT and Embraer
LOT Polish Airlines and Embraer sign a contract at Farnborough 2022 to renew and expand the Pool Program.

The pool program helps airlines minimize their upfront investment in high-value inventories and resources, while taking advantage of Embraer’s technical expertise and repair service provider network. It creates significant savings on repair and inventory carrying costs and required warehousing space while providing guaranteed performance levels, according to Embraer.

Maciej Wilk, LOT’s COO, called the pool program “paramount to increasing LOT’s fleet availability, guaranteeing efficiency and competitive results, [and] allowing LOT to focus on day-to-day operations.”
