Embraer and All Nippon Airways (ANA) on Monday consummated a purchase agreement announced in February for fifteen 190-E2s, with options for five more. The contract marks the first from ANA for Embraer products, and the 190-E2s will become the first of the next generation E-Jets to operate in Japan.

“We believe this aircraft will enhance our ability to serve our customers and meet the growing demand for air travel in Japan,” Koji Shibata, ANA Holdings president and CEO, said during the Paris Air Show signing ceremony. The aircraft are scheduled for delivery starting in 2028.

Embraer president and CEO Francisco Gomes Neto added that he hopes this is the beginning of a collaboration between the companies. “We will have a lot of opportunities to meet each other in the future,” he noted.

The order is part of ANA’s fleet renewal plans, Embraer said.
