In preparation for the commercial availability of SwiftBroadband high-speed-data services next year, Rockwell Collins has introduced two new data-ready satcom terminals, the HST-2110 and HST-2120. The HST-2110 will support one channel of SwiftBroadband and the HST-2120 will support two channels. SwiftBroadband will offer passengers Internet access at a 432-kilobyte-per-second data rate per satcom channel. The data terminals are companion products to Collins’ SAT-6100 and SAT-906 satcom systems.
