British Aerospace 125-700A, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Nov. 1, 2006–The Blue Star Airlines Hawker 700A landed gear up at Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport. The pilot told investigators that he remembered placing his hand on the landing gear selector handle and moving it halfway down. He saw a green light for the left main landing gear but saw red lights for the nose and right main landing gears. He continued the approach, and on landing he thought he felt the tires rolling and applied the airbrake. He performed an emergency shutdown after the airplane came to rest on the runway, and all occupants exited the airplane uninjured. The airplane was substantially damaged.
Maintenance personnel found the landing gear selector handle in the down position, and the emergency hand pump handle stowed. The landing gear indicator lights illuminated as the pilot reported. When the airplane was raised, the gear began extending automatically. When the emergency pump was pumped three times, the gear went into the down-and-locked position.
