P&WC Parts Center Opens in Amsterdam

Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) opened a distribution center in Amsterdam, eliminating the need for many customers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa to get parts sent from Canada and, in many cases, allowing them to receive orders in less than 24 hours. The new facility, which stocks hardware for the engine maker’s complete range of turboprop and turbofan powerplants, also replaces a previous P&WC parts distribution operation at Southampton, UK, which will now continue its role as a repair and overhaul center. Meanwhile, Scandinavian Aircraft Technologies at Sindal Airport in Denmark was appointed by P&WC as an authorized maintenance facility for PT6A, JT15D and PW100 engines.
