AirCare Solutions Group of Olympia, Wash., announced last month at the NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers Conference it will begin offering a new flight attendant service training module with its regularly scheduled Facts crewmember training classes. The two-day syllabus expansion begins this month and will include comprehensive business aviation indoctrination, flight attendant duties, professional service procedures, galley safety, food handling certification and catering, among other subjects. A half-day recurrent-training service module will cover advanced service techniques for experienced flight attendants. AirCare Solutions has also acquired California-based aircrew staffing company Air Elegance.
The acquisition of Air Elegance will enable it to complement its crew training services with crew staffing and assist both professional crewmembers–pilots, mechanics, flight attendants and dispatchers–looking for placement and flight operations looking for personnel, said AirCare Solutions CEO Douglas Mykol. The newly acquired company has been renamed AirCare Aircrews. According to Mykol, crewmembers provided by AirCare will be fully covered by workers compensation, general liability and hired/non-owned automobile insurance. AirCare will also take care of all state and federal payroll tax responsibilities.
