Runway at HEF returned to limited service

Runway 16L/34R (5,700- by 100 feet) has been returned to limited service at Manassas Regional Airport (HEF) in Virginia. Some additional construction work remains to be completed, so there may be 15-minute periods of prior permission required (PPR) operation. At times, the runway could be closed altogether. Airport operations director Joe Lee recommends extra caution when operating on the runway and on taxiway B as there will be considerable activity in the area by workmen with equipment through the coming weeks.
