NY nixes aircraft maintenance and storage tax

The New York Aviation Management Association and the Long Island Business Aviation Association, with support from NBAA, were instrumental in having legislation enacted in New York that eliminates the sales tax on general aviation aircraft maintenance and storage. The organizations say the bill should generate more business for repair facilities in New York and save tax dollars for those who have maintenance performed in New York. The exemption went into effect at the beginning of last month.
