Learjet 24/25 RVSM Group Approval Received

Avcon Industries of Olathe, Kan., has obtained group approval for its RVSM upgrade for the Learjet 24 and 25, including models with various wing modifications. The retail price of the modification is $156,975, including a functional test flight. In addition, the JET FC-110 autopilot components and pitch servo must be inspected, calibrated and/or repaired by L-3 Communications (the new owner of the JET autopilot), while the aircraft is being modified with RVSM equipment. Required autopilot work will range in price from $5,000 to $10,000, according to the company. There is also a $1,500 charge for addressing skin waviness and paint touch-up.
