“War on Error” is the theme of the 2005 Safety Standdown seminar being held by Bombardier Learjet from October 25 through 27 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Wichita. The objective of this annual three-day conference is to improve corporate aviation safety, and the topics covered are applicable to all business jets regardless of manufacturer. Session topics are scheduled to include medical and emergency training, international operations recurrent training, the “global war on error,” fatigue countermeasures, high-altitude physiology, advanced aerodynamics, professionalism and performance. Special guests invited to speak are Capt. Gene Cernan, Gen. Joe Engle, Bob Hoover and Col. Steve Nagel. Operators of any type of business aircraft can attend the seminar and receive seminar materials free of charge. Travel and lodging expenses are the responsibility of the participant. At the conclusion of Safety Standdown 2005, drawings will be held for several prizes, including two Omega Speedmaster Watches each valued at more than $3,500.
