Content Body

The five-member board of directors of Air Security International (ASI) has fired Issy Boim after 15 years as president of the Dallas-based firm he founded. ASI provides corporate aviation security products and services. Boim told AIN that he was fired because of "political reasons," but he would not elaborate. An ASI official declined to comment on Boim" remark or explain what precipitated the termination, although he denied it had anything to do with the company being taken into any new non-security directions. "Right now our strategic vision does not have us getting outside our core services," v-p of operations Charles LeBlanc told AIN. "We believe there is plenty of area to grow and maintain our standards in that arena." Meanwhile, Boim, who said he resigned from the board following his termination notice, remains a minority owner of ASI, according to LeBlanc. He also told AIN that the board has not made a final decision on a replacement.
