Content Body

The Michigan Institute of Aviation and Technology (MIAT) will incorporate FlightSafety’s Principles of Troubleshooting course into its curriculum. The move is designed to help students develop a better understanding of the latest technology used in aircraft as they prepare for a career as professional aircraft technicians.

The course uses an advanced software simulation program that exposes the technicians to a wide variety of scenarios that give them the opportunity to practice and perfect their troubleshooting techniques. According to a FlightSafety spokesman, numerous major and regional airlines have incorporated the program into their maintenance training.

MIAT expects that graduates who have followed the enhanced program will also be more attractive to prospective employers.
