Collins avionics system OK’d in Avanti

Avionics manufacturer Rockwell Collins announced that its Pro Line 21 Integrated Display System (IDS) has been certified for the Piaggio 180. According to the company, the Pro Line 21 IDS will provide the aircraft owners with larger, more informative LCD displays, featuring new content such as electronic charts and graphic weather maps from Rockwell Collins’ Integrated Flight Information System.

Customers choosing the IDS can also upgrade to the company’s AHS-3000, their latest attitude and heading reference system which features digital quartz micro-electrical system sensors that promise up to 10,000-hour MTBF ratings.

The Piaggio 180 installation was performed by Jet Works in Denton, Texas.
