Ametek expands footprint in bizav maintenance market

Ametek continues to strengthen its position in the aircraft power management and third-party maintenance, repair and overhaul services markets with the acquisition of two privately held businesses serving the business jet, regional jet and helicopter markets.

“Advanced Industries and B&S Aircraft Parts & Accessories both serve the business and regional jet markets, have well established relationships with the key aircraft manufacturers and provide us with a strategic footprint in Wichita,” said Frank Hermance, the company’s chairman and CEO.

Advanced Industries manufactures starter generators, brush and brushless motors, vane-axial and centrifugal blowers for cabin ventilation and linear actuators for the business jet and helicopter markets.

B&S Aircraft Parts & Accessories provides third-party MRO services, primarily for starter generators and hydraulic and fuel system components, for a variety of business aircraft and helicopter applications.
