A new service designed in part by former Avantair chairman Al Rapetti seeks to align charter operators under one roof to maximize revenue and fill seats. West Palm Beach, Fla.-based Business Jet Seats is taking a different angle from a number of seat brokerage operators that have begun operations lately. Instead of representing the passenger, the service seeks to represent charter operators by studying a local area to ensure that more than one seat can be filled on each aircraft. Member companies then look to Business Jet Seats to help them market their service. The company currently has more than 20 charter clients and offers end customers a “fixed price,” which it thinks will be attractive. A spokesman told AIN that the company has the ability to expand “as long as operators see a value.”
