Beginning in January, PrivatAir will offer daily flights between Zurich and Newark Liberty International Airport, N.J., in partnership with Swiss International Airlines. Six days a week (reserving a day for maintenance), PrivatAir will operate a brand-new Boeing Business Jet with 56 seats in premium all-business-class configuration, as it has since 2002 with its BBJ and Airbus Corporate Jetliner transatlantic service conducted in partnership with Lufthansa. As part of the new service with Swiss International, PrivatAir will provide the aircraft (under a wet-lease arrangement with ASMI), crew, on-board service, maintenance and insurance. PrivatAir CEO Greg Thomas said that in this case, aircraft availability for the customer’s required operational start date
was the deciding factor in the choice of the BBJ.
