ICG introduces improved phone handset

Aeronautical communications systems provider International Communications Group (Booth No. 3705) is here at NBAA’07 showing its upgraded its Sigma 7 retractor reel handset. For improved functionality in low-light conditions, the telephones will now feature a backlit keypad and LCD display. The new handset operates with all models of ICG’s cabin CTUs and Iridium systems. Additional upgrades to the unit include an improved noise-reduction microphone, speed dialing, last number redial and a louder ringer with provision for an additional plug-in external ringer. The Sigma 7 BL handset also has an integrated credit card reader to bill calls over various communications networks. ICG’s products provide Iridium satellite-based worldwide voice and data transmission services for cabin and flight deck applications.
