Jetscape Services said it plans to expand its FBOs at Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport in Florida as the first step in a new partnership with a Miami-based private-investment firm.
Equity partner the Frost Group and Jetscape said they are seeking to acquire additional FBOs in the U.S. and abroad while also increasing Jetscape’s service mix. They propose to start by relocating the FBO at Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood Airport to a 69-acre property across the field. Expansion plans include a new hangar for large business jets. The new FBO would serve as a model for the company’s facilities elsewhere, a spokesman said.
Jetscape’s FBO at Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood provides fueling facilities, hangar and ramp space, passenger seating, pilot lounge and flight planning rooms. Jetscape marked its fifth anniversary at the airport earlier this month. It is one of four FBOs there.
Jetscape stock will eventually be available for purchase by the public, the spokesman said, adding that its new investor also holds interests in technology companies that develop pharmaceuticals, medical and diagnostic devices, telecommunications and other products.
Jetscape representatives are on hand at Booth No. 2145 to answer questions about the company’s plans.
