Collins Teams on Cabin Entertainment

Rockwell Collins (Booth No. 5500) and home theater specialist Kaleidescape announced the development of a video control interface that integrates the Rockwell Collins cabin management system with the Kaleidescape entertainment server. The Kaleidescape program allows storage of DVDs and CDs on an array of fail-safe, hard-disk drives and permits automatic viewing and organization of audio and video collections. The control interface features a 10.6-inch touch-screen controller with complete access to all Kaleidescape control functions. The controller offers picture-in-picture and preview capabilities, as well full-screen viewing. The video output from the Kaleidescape system is directly connected to the cabin distribution system for viewing at any seat or bulkhead display, with audio available on cabin headsets and speakers.
