Content Body
In the mid-1940s, operators started bringing their aircraft to newly established Airwork at Millville Municipal Airport, N.J., for engine repair and overhaul. Soon Airwork had earned a reputation for excellent service. Over the years the company expanded and changed ownership several times. In 1998 Dallas Airmotive acquired the operation from GE and further expanded services. But last month Dallas Airmotive revealed it will close the Millville operation and consolidate engine work at its Dallas and Neosho, Mo., locations. No specific timetable was given, but a Dallas Airmotive executive told AIN that it will take a “few months” to make the transition.
