West Star Aviation of Grand Junction, Colo., has started work on obtaining group RVSM approval for the Cessna 441 Conquest II. Skin mapping, flight testing and equipment installation will be part of the RVSM package, expected to be completed in the fourth quarter. Equipment includes a Collins or Meggitt autopilot replacement for aircraft with the Cessna 1000-series autopilot. Meanwhile, Beechjet 400/MU-300 operators have two sources for RVSM certification. Raytheon Aircraft Services has been awarded an RVSM equipment STC for the two models. Details are available from the company’s Atlanta facility. Likewise, Elliott Aviation of Moline, Ill., is expecting FAA approval next month for its Beechjet 400/MU-300 RVSM installation.
