Oxford Aviation Launches Aircraft De-icing Boot Sealant

Oxford Aviation of Oxford, Maine, introduced a three-in-one boot treatment called Tri-Guard. It is a silicone-free treatment that rejuvenates and conditions de-icing boots with a high gloss finish, offers protection from ozone degradation and UV rays, enhances the flexibility and durability of the boot and helps the actual ice-shedding process. The Tri-Guard application procedure reduces the application time and costs associated with the traditional multi-step products available, according to the company. Oxford Aviation says the product is not hazardous to the environment, nonflammable, requires no special disposal procedures and is safe for long-term use, with no damage to aluminum or paint.
