Stevens Multiplies Hangar Space at Jeffco

Stevens Aviation has acquired a leasehold on an existing 25,000-sq-ft hangar at Jefferson County Airport (BJC, aka Jeffco) outside Denver. The maintenance operation, which previously was limited to its 10,000-sq-ft shop, is in the process of hiring 10 more mechanics to expand its maintenance role at Jeffco. General manager Craig Colby told AIN that Stevens has not abandoned plans to build either two 25,000-sq-ft hangars or one 50,000-sq-ft (or larger) facility. “In the meantime,” he said, “this was a perfect fit.”
