Content Body

All holders of Part 135 certificates would be required to have an FAA-approved training program for handling designated hazardous materials, whether or not they elect to transport these materials, under proposed regulatory changes. The amendments would incorporate guidance now contained in related advisory circulars, which are not mandatory. In addition, the revisions would add requirements for repair stations that would allow the FAA to increase its oversight of training mandates. Comments are due July 7. Contact the FAA’s William Wilkening at (202) 267-9864.
