Aviation Partners said it is in the “preliminary stages” of “looking at the entire Citation line” as the possible next candidate for the company’s performance-enhancing blended winglets. No timetable, however, was immediately available. Meanwhile, the Seattle-based company expects to receive certification of its blended winglets for the Hawker 800 and 800XP in mid- to late summer, more than a year later than originally planned. Failure to obtain certain OEM engineering data from Raytheon Aircraft and slow progress through the FAA have caused the delay, the company said. The modified Hawker, dubbed the 800SP, will fly 30 minutes longer or 180 nm further and 18 knots faster than a standard Hawker 800, according to Aviation Partners. Installed price–including removing the aileron horn balance, rebalancing the aileron, removing the stall fences and installing vortilons–is $350,000.
