According to the Orlando Sentinel, state and local officials are drafting an incentive package to lure fractional provider NetJets to Orlando, Fla. “As NetJets’ business continues to grow and as we expand and add more employees and more aircraft, we also must add new infrastructure to maintain the highest standards of service and safety,” a NetJets spokeswoman told AIN. “We are looking at adding new buildings in Columbus and perhaps outside the Columbus area as well.” E-mails obtained by the newspaper indicate that a delegation of Orlando leaders could be headed to NetJets’ Columbus facility this week. In fact, one e-mail sent by Declan Reiley, vice president of business development at the Metro Orlando Economic Development Commission, even talked of an Orlando visit by NetJets chairman and CEO Richard Santulli and a “comprehensive combined state and local offer” that could be made to the fractional provider this week. In the message, Reiley noted that NetJets’ final decision is expected by December 10. Orlando officials are touting the Orlando FlightSafety International Learning Center and the Orlando Cessna Citation Service Center as benefits of the potential move.
