Plans for a third airport to serve the French capital have advanced with the release of a report naming eight possible sites. Pierre Zémor, the official in charge of the commission of inquiry into the sites, has unveiled the locations, some of which are nearly 100 miles from Paris. The sites, which must have an initial capacity of 30 million passengers and 50 million and four runways in the long term, include the new dedicated freight airport of Vatry.
