The very light jet (VLJ), Eclipse 500 S/N 066, is based at SheltAir at Jacksonville International Airport for a corporate customer. According to OurPlane, the event marks the launch of the company’s nationwide fractional VLJ aircraft service. The cost for an Eclipse 500 share is around $521,000, with fixed costs of $3,999 for 150 hours of annual flying time, according to OurPlane president and CEO Graham Casson.
