Max-Viz said it has gained an STC permitting installations of the company’s EVS-1000 infrared enhanced-vision system series in the Cessna Citation 500 through 560XL. Max-Viz president Jim Tuttle said the EVS image can be shown on a variety of cockpit displays, including the flat-panel units from Innovative Solutions & Support that Cessna has selected for a Citation cockpit upgrade program. This latest STC covers installations of the EVS-1000 and EVS-1500 system. Max-Viz said EVS-1500 features a pilot-selectable dual field of view using high-performance optical zoom that can switch from wide angle (53 degrees) to telephoto (30 degrees) views ahead of the aircraft.
