The FAA has granted several supplemental type certificates (STC) to Standard Aero for upgrades to aircraft powered by the Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A turboprop, including the Cheyenne I, IA, II and IIXL and King Air F90.

The STC programs focus on performance gains, such as increased cruise speed and rate of climb, as well as safety and aircraft value. The company is working on certification for other airframes, including the King Air 200, King Air B200 and Cessna Caravan. Target certification dates are next year.
