Content Body
Raytheon Aircraft has selected airborne telecommunications equipment company AirCell’s ST3100 Iridium-based satcom system as standard equipment on the Beechcraft King Air 350 and as an option on the B200.
AirCell said that, in addition to its cellular and global satcom telephone calling capabilities, the ST3100 can act as a datalink for in-flight services such as graphic weather, text messaging and ATC information through the Universal Avionics UniLink system. In addition, the phone system can connect to 24-hour medical services through MedAire’s MedLink, as well as news, sports and financial information over the Rockwell Collins Airshow Network.
