Content Body

Construction has begun on the new executive terminal at the Guardian Jet Center at Ontario International Airport, Ontario, Calif. The new terminal–which will have an expanded passenger lounge and a larger flight-planning area with real-time computer weather service–adds 5,500 sq ft of operating space to the company’s existing 46,000 sq ft of hangar and office area. It will also offer a pilot exercise center, crew sleeping quarters and a conference facility.

Ontario Mayor Gary Ovitt told Jeff Lassetter, president of Guardian, “When large companies travel to the region looking for business the existence of this facility will make a great first impression for our city.”

Guardian began operations in November 2002, offering fueling, catering, flight logistics, crew rest areas and other amenities. Guardian currently employs 30 people and expects to add another 10 employees after the expansion. Construction plans call for the executive terminal to be operational early next year.
