Dassault Falcon 2000, Stilesville, Ind., April 14, 2006–The NTSB was unable to determine why the left engine cowling of Falcon N722JB detached and hit the lower spar of the horizontal stabilizer in cruise at FL250. The cowling, which was never located, also damaged the left engine primary fuel line. The flight was en route from Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport (SPI) in Springfield, Ill., to Dayton, Ohio, and returned to SPI without further incident. There were no injuries.
