BBA Aviation engine repair and overhaul company Dallas Airmotive will open a regional turbine center (RTC) in the Pittsburgh area by the end of this month. It will be located at Washington County Airport about 20 miles south of Pittsburgh International Airport.
The 5,300-sq-ft facility will provide hot-section inspection services for Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A and JT15D engines, fan repairs on the JT15D and power section repair on the PT6A. The RTC will also offer field service support for aircraft operating these engine makes as well as the PW300 and PW500. The new facility will be the 10th RTC operated by the company in North America and Europe.
