Embraer Revisits Bizjet Version of 170

Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer is “seriously” revisiting the idea of offering a corporate version of its 70-passenger regional twinjet, the 170. Embraer described an aircraft with a max range of about 5,000 nm, filling a niche between the Global Express and Gulfstream lines and the Airbus Corporate Jetliner and Boeing Business Jet. A spokesman at the company’s U.S. offices in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., said the study is now in an exploratory stage.
