Jet Aviation recently completed negotiations with three major worldwide fuel suppliers to provide discounts for its charter and managed aircraft fleets in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Christoph Thurnherr, head of purchasing for Jet Aviation Business Jets in Zurich, Switzerland, said the company now provides discounts at close to 300 locations worldwide, with customer savings of up to 60 percent compared with posted retail fuel prices. Jurg Reuthinger, v-p and general manager of Jet Aviation’s aircraft management division for Europe, said, “This gives us a strong position in the marketplace, since new customers will realize they can get a better fuel price with us.” The negotiations included Shell, ExxonMobil and Air BP, and combine with Jet Aviation’s other negotiated fuel contracts to provide discounted prices at all major cities around the world, according to the company. In total, Jet Aviation said its aircraft upload some 9.2 million gallons of aviation fuel each year.
