BEECH KING AIR 200, LEOMINSTER, MASS., APRIL 4, 2003–According to the FSDO in Windsor Locks, Conn., King Air N257CG crashed at approximately 9:34 a.m., destroying the aircraft, killing the pilot and five others and injuring another passenger and one person on the ground.

N257CG, registered to F.S. Corsair of Concord, Mass., had departed New York La Guardia International Airport and was flying as an on-demand charter under Part 135 to Fitchburg, Mass. The twin turboprop crashed into a commercial building in Leominster, approximately 35 miles northwest of Boston, while on a GPS approach to Runway 14 at Fitchburg Municipal Airport (FIT). The automated weather reported at the time was wind 70 degrees at nine knots, three miles visibility in fog, clouds 1,100 feet broken and 1,700 feet overcast, temperature -1 degree C, dew point -2 degrees C and altimeter 30.15 inches. An investigation is ongoing.
