Incursions redefined

In a draft Advisory Circular (AC 150/5210-10) covering ground vehicle operations on airports, the FAA reiterated its new definition of runway incursion to help spread the word that the definition changed last year. According to the agency, a runway incursion is “any occurrence at an airport involving an aircraft, vehicle, person or object on the ground that creates a collision hazard or results in loss of separation with an aircraft taking off or intending to take off, landing or intending to land.”
